Nooo, we didn’t go to Greenland…but we did make another beautiful trip along the coast today, skijoring in the Bjuröklubb Nature Reserve with Tuisku and Titan.
In winter, the coastal landscape on the northern coast of Sweden looks a bit like a slice of Greenland. Directly behind the peaks the land drops steeply into the open ocean. We made sure we didn’t get too close to the edge.
The weather gods listened and we’re back in business! The temperature has dropped well below zero and we had a fantastic time today, skijoring on the windswept ice of a nearby ocean bay about 10 minutes from home.
It’s been a cold week with temperatures below -30C (-22F). Today was a little warmer so Thunder, Leia and I went on a skijoring excursion from home to the sea bay – a 2 hour run in a changing scenery.
Today I took Gem and Titan skijoring during my lunch break. There are many winding trails in the forests surrounding our home, some long and some short. I picked a trail that headed in the direction of the sun – after a long winter I’m definitely in need of some sunshine!
It’s fun to explore new trails, every day we see something new.
February is beautiful and blue.
